Big City Small World Bakery is a small bakery off the beaten path of downtown Ann Arbor. It has very nice art work outside of the building and could have great potential. The inside of the shop is small, but efficient. It was dimly lit and when I entered there was no attendant. It is the type of place that when you go in and the door sets off some bells, and then someone appears from the back. The customer service was minimal and I can not say that the attendant did or said anything that was not out of necessity for us to do business together. After being roughly pointed in the direction of the vegan cupcakes, which looked undesirable to eye, I was going to try one for taste. Then I spotted a fly. I told the shopkeep, "You have a fly in your case." He did not move, respond, or flinch. I said, "Did you hear me? You have a fly in your case." He responded, " oh yeah, Ill get it in a minute." Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Needless to say, I put on my sunglasses, turned for the door, and will never look back.
