The food here was decent. We had the NoPo burrito and the nachos, plus a kids burrito. I really liked the cashew cheese. The kids burrito was a little disappointing in that it didn't have any veggies on it.

This place seems like the place all the locals love and off the beaten track. The food was simple, fresh and fabulous -- so much so that it warrants multiple visits for the out of towners like us. Definitely a must try place for those visiting Portland.

On first visit I had the vegan quesadilla because I wanted to experience their nut "cheese." It was spicy as indicated on the menu, but the salsa and topping of avocado were the perfect compliments to keep the dish from being too hot to enjoy. On second visit I tried the vegan biscuits and gravy. I expected something delicious though not very nutritious. Happily, I was wrong. This is not a carb coma biscuit and gravy. Instead of a plain flour gravy, this is a mushroom gravy. Also the biscuits are served on an ample bed of sauteed chard, kale, sweet potatoes, onion, and white potatoes. Can't wait to go back a third time to try the vegan Reuben!

Great food, large portions, very vegan friendly. Good selection of vegan baked goods.

Very good food, wholesome and tasty. Has that homecooked feel, but much more attention and effort than I care to put into my own meals, so I'll leave it to them. I've had some killer specials, I wish they would put on the menu permanently. Come on tempeh Caesar wrap!

It is mellow and quirky with evening happenings, movies on Tuesday, open mic on Wednesday and jazz on Thursday (no cover). I also like the way the store is split between the cafe and the market- with organic produce for sale, a very good bulk section and basic vegan products...not a full fledged grocer but a needed addition to the north side and much appreciated.
