TVA organizes events, the Annual Vegetarian Food Fair, the Veggie Challenge, a vegetarian directory, a resource centre, and more.

Organization

The Toronto Vegetarian Association organizes a large variety of events in Toronto, including dine outs, the Annual Vegetarian Food Fair (a free event that attracts over 15,000 visitors), and outreach to colleges. They print a Vegetarian Directory (48,000 copies annually), and organize a Veggie Challenge where anyone in North America can go meat-free for a week and win prizes.

They also have a resource center with over 500 books, including a lot of cookbooks, and videos that one can borrow. They are on the second floor of 17 Baldwin, above Vegetarian Haven. It's easy to miss the entrance, but it's there.

Nice shop. I'm a member myself. They host the largest veggie food fair, with excellent lectures. Drop by if you have a chance, as they have a library with many books.
