Grocery and Deli

Located near Yale University, Gourmet Heaven is grocery store with a number of veg options including Tofutti cream cheese, Earth Balance margarine, canned soups, frozen Amy's products, lots of vegan chocolates, fresh breads, vegan cookies, jams, fruit, etc. etc. They seem like a more upscale grocery store with a fair number of veg and organic options than most grocery stores.

Their deli seems to have a fair number of vegetarian options and 3 vegan ones: a vegetable burger, a roasted vegetables sandwich, and a hummus sandwich. They also have some soups; just ask if any of them are vegetarian or vegan. There is also a pay-by-weight buffet with what appear to be a number of veg options. It's hard to tell what the ingredients in each item are though, so it's difficult to say what's vegan and what's not, but you can always ask.

There is a seating area inside the store with free wireless service.
