new vegan dessert option on Grand!
The Grand Italian Ice Cafe just opened a week ago in place of a Ben & Jerry's and is a welcome improvement to the neighborhood. The Cafe features almost 12 flavors of Italian ice daily, as well as gelato and custard.
The ices are a nice alternative to your average sorbet. I know for a fact that the fruit flavored ices are vegan, though I'm not sure about the chocolate and vanilla.
I also cannot comment on their dairy based products. Everything is reasonably priced - an excellent place to stop by for a high-quality frozen treat!

This place is great! I spoke to the owner today and she confirmed that all italian ice flavors are VEGAN!! (Although she was unsure at first what vegan meant, she said they were all free of animal products and told me what ingredients were in them.)
There are lots of great flavors to choose from, definitely check it out!
Great flavors! They even mixed mine so I had chocolate banana. My fiance has strawberry banana. I'm going to go back for pineapple coconut.
