Three Roots Cafe is a gem of a place, just west of ASU campus in Tempe on Mill Ave. So naturally, there's hordes of college students infiltrating the place.
But this is no ordinary hangout. As Three Roots Cafe is a small cafe and coffee shop. The food is vegetarian, and there's no alcohol, so you'll find the clientele a little different than most of those other college hot spots.
What Three Roots does have is a single unique entree each day (they don't have a regular menu), as well as different soups and salads daily. I can't tell you what to expect since the menu is never the same from day-to-day, but I can tell you that it's ultra-vegetarian-friendly.
You order at the counter and then head either into the small dining area to wait for your vegetarian delights; or to the cozy area (to the right of the counter) adorned with couches and recliners (for some intimate conversation or whatever).
Three Roots is a great place to meet friends and hang out over coffee or some simple, inexpensive, and delicious vegetarian food!
Just south of University Dr on Mill Ave, west side of the street. Park in the rear of the building.

3 Roots is a great coffee bar and hangout spot, but what they're overlooked for is their food. On the menu now is their delicious tempeh Reuben. I highly recommend it. They also have veggie burgers, sandwhiches, soups, and salads. This is a family run local business and needs our support. They are awesome folks and cater to the vegetarian/vegan crowd.
