Great bread!
Local bakery specializing in kosher/parve baking- no dairy! A lot of their breads are vegan- there is a handy take-away ingredients list for all their breads at the counter. Great muffins too!

Drove 32 miles round trip to try this place. Left empty handed. The staff seemed proud of everything being Kosher and vegetarian, but had no idea what was Vegan. They checked the ingredients. Pecan rolls are Vegan, but I would have to come back on Thursday. Pumpkin bread is Vegan, but I would have to come back in September. They could not find anything currently available without animal or insect muck in it. They did assure me that most Vegans eat honey (that's bee vomit, I think). I guess I have not met most Vegans.
update: So, they no longer do Caramel Pecan Rolls at this particular branch. You'll have to drive way the hell out to St. Paul for those at some point, maybe when you go to ride the carousel. Other than this grave mistake one still feels a vague appreciation for the other fine baked goods they offer.
This location is a vegan blessing in the western suburbs. The Caramel Pecan Rolls are the greatest. I ate four of them today and was quite intoxicated. What a floaty feeling they give you! I also recommend the pumpkin muffins (seasonal) and chocolate babka--two paws up apiece. Most of the breads are vegan and they're great as well.
