We were amazed to find this place while driving through Maine (there are three other locations in Gardiner, Portland, and Brunswick). The middle-aged couple (both vegan) who run the place are charming. The buffet (5-6 hot entrees plus soup and salad bar) is amazing, filling, and a huge bargain at $5. Be sure to get a couple of cookies ($0.60) and a bag of phenomenal corn chips to go.
little lad's is all vegan with the exception of a small few bakery items that contain honey and these are not overwhelmingly exciting anyway (popcorn and a breed of bread). the food here is great and a real bargain. also it's located no more than 44 hops from the bus station in bangor, convenient for all who have been existing on sugar wafers for two days, or whatever the case may be.

A wonderful little place tucked away near the Gray hound bus station. Fabulous food and the nicest couple running it you could ever hope to meet. We make a point of going there every time we are in town and we go hungry and come out fully satisfied. Buffet style with several hot entrees along with soups and a salad bar. There are also snacks and bread to take out. So nice to find a vegan place to eat that serves more than salad and sandwiches (although you can get those too)We come from California every summer and it's not always easy to find such good meals at such a great price.
