The best Vietnamese food! They serve great vegan food at a discounted price. Their salads are light with oil-free dressings and fake, vegan meats. They have amazing soy chicken and soy ginger fish. Located about 4 miles from Disneyland, this is pure heaven compared to the options around the park. The owner is very accomodating and the portions are large.
I have an annual pass to Disneyland (I live in Las Vegas) and we always leave and go here for dinner. Excellent food...the lemongrass fish is one of the best dishes I've ever had. The salads and soups are also very tasty! Great vegan cheesecake! The service is wonderful and they always remember my sister and me everytime we come in.
I just spent four nights in Cypress, and ate at Thuyen Vien three of those (they're closed on Tuesdays). They were very welcoming; I got to know the owner, who was happy to discuss cooking, ingredients and his menu with me. The first night I had the roast chicken, which was a good dish for people who don't want to end up with too much food. It was a very tasty sweet sauce, with good texture. Next I tried the fish with a seaweed skin, one of their fanciest dishes. This one was an enormous portion - best for two people. It featured incredibly fresh mint, zucchini, jacima, and thin rice wraps - a Vietnamese fish tortilla as it were. Amazing. The last night, I took the recommendation of the owner and had the fish hot pot as well as the sweet and sour soup. Again, there were great herbs (basil in this case) in the soup, as well as chunks of tomato and other great vegetables - and he recommended eating the two together (fish pieces in soup).
Prices were unbeatable (from $6 for the chicken or soup to the highest-priced $14 fish wraps) for the quality and serving size.
Atmosphere was friendly, clean, and authentic. If I had any caution, it would be that they keep the door open (no A/C I could see), which can get warm (but is great for the environment). Go there - and ask them what you should have. They won't disappoint you.
Amazing food, service, and people. This family owned restaurant will fill your belly with good food and warm your heart with their genuine hospitality. I love this place and will continue to support them. Try it out!
This is one of the very BEST restaurants I've been to, period. It is family owned/operated and they treat you like an extension of their own family. The food is exquisite! I went with someone that eats meat and he didn't even know that the pumpkin stew was vegan (you've got to try it!). I will definitely go back again and again. I can't recommend them enough!
This restaurant is not very big, but the food is delicious. My favorite is the crispy chow fun noodles. They have so many things to choose from. Big parking space too.

OH MY GOD! Greatest vegan food I've ever had. The garlic "chicken" is so amazing my meat-eating friends love it. It's not on the menu anymore, but if you ask for it they'll make it for you. The spring roll appetizers were a little different for my taste when I first tried them but after coming back twice I ended up falling in love. The rice is cooked perfectly and everything is fantastic. They're all really nice and attentive there. You have to go, if anything for the garlic chicken and also for the ginger fish. WOW.
