Coffeeshop in Uptown on Hennepin
An old two-story house turned coffee shop on Hennepin displaying art from local artists. They serve French Meadow Bakery Vegan Chocolate Raspberry Bars and Scones and a menu with several veg*n friendly options including soups that change daily (usually always one vegan option, fairly simple veggie sandwiches, a great selection of teas, smoothies, soda and coffee drinks (soymilk can usually always be substituted for milk).
Pandora's has videogames in the back, board games and cards to borrow from the register and outdoor seating on upstairs and downstairs patios. Downstairs is smoke-free, while upstairs isn't. They have outlets available for those with laptops looking for a place to study. It tends to get quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights. They also have an ATM and payphone downstairs.

Pandora is a great place to study, since they're open later than any coffee shop on the U campus. And it no longer reeks of smoke since the smoking ban took effect. I also appreciate the atmosphere and the vegan options which are difficult to find at most coffee shops. The desserts aren't the best I've ever had, but they could be a lot worse. I'll go a few extra miles to hang out here.
They get a strictly average rating. Yes, they have some vegan options, but that should be standard, in my opinion, so I'm not giving them huge props for it. While it seems to be true that they don't allow smoking downstairs, it doesn't make much of a difference because the entire place reeks. We sat on the front porch, and that was fine, until they lit the torches they have posted on either side of the walkway outside and the wind blew nasty fumes our way. We took off in short order. If you're not sensitive to nasty smells, and you don't mind eating chocolate raspberry bars and butterscotch krispy treats so sweet they make your teeth shed tears, you'll like this place fine.
Pandora's does have a decent selection of coffee drinks & the like. It's very popular with the high school and early-college aged crowd.
Pandora's is a great place to sit down and chill with people of all shapes and colors. Pretty pink and green hair, metal in faces, buttons and patches. I love the old mismatched furniture and the outdoor balcony. A+
There was a good variety of vegan options for a coffee shop. The staff was nice and I liked the atmosphere.
