Tasty Greek delights in a bright, clean atmosphere

Apollo boasts having a large selection of vegetarian items, but unfortunately, most of them have cheese. In some cases, you can just omit the cheese to make the item vegan (in the case of the salads, but in other cases, cheese is baked it (such as the spanakopita) can't be made vegan.

Some vegan items include: dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), panzari salad (red beets, onion, and red wine vinegar), hummus, vegan pilaf and lemon potato wedges. Their avgolemono soup contains egg, but the soup of the day is sometimes vegan. Note that the baklava contains honey.

The dining room can seat about 15 people and they are usually not too busy so getting a table isn't a problem. They stay open past midnight on certain nights of the week for the late night crowd, but you may want to call ahead.

I had the dolmathes and thought it was a bit too greasy for my taste. It was nice to have a Greek cafe that is vegan tolerant, but honestly, they had a lamb leg roasting in public view. So this place is not a place I would plan to return to; I would just head up the street to Casablanca.
