An eclectic selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food

Old Wives' Tales is a mainstay for Portland vegetarians, though it is not a vegetarian restaurant. The menu is quite vegan-friendly, and they have both soup and salad bars as well.

The regular menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are a number of weekly specials. The cuisines range from American to Indian to Mexican to Japanese. It is worth noting that they do have several vegan breakfast items.

Finally, the restaurant has a separate kids playroom, which makes it very family-friendly.

Great place to bring the kids, with a variety of kid friendly options, portion sizes and prices. And although the play room is small, the kiddos have fun. Adult selections are a bit pricier, and I don't always feel full after my selection. I often enjoy specials that are vegan. Good place for mixed vegan/vegetarian/meat-eating families/groups.

The food here is ok, not very memorable.
