An original Tajikistan tea house

Built by Dushanbe craftsmen for their sister city, this gorgeous building is now a tea house, also serving meals and coffees.

Some vegetarian options, and they always have soy milk.

They also do children's' tea parties.

A gorgeous building, worth going in just to have a look.

We finally enjoyed our brunch there, but only after some confusion as to whether it was vegan. Our waiter checked with the chef, who assured him that the schizuan tofu was vegan. We told the waiter who brought it out that we didn't need the pot of butter, as we were vegans, who then checked again, and told us that the biscuits it was served with already had butter on them. The manager did then offer to cook the whole thing for us again, so we didn't feel we could complain too much.

The selection of teas, as you'd imagine, is fantastic, and they even have a reasonable selection of coffee.
