Vegetarian Restaurant that serves mostly vegan food
All the food at Rosetta's Kitchen is vegetarian and most of it is vegan. They offer home-style, global fusion, whole-food and soul-food choices. There is also a special menu for Sunday brunch. On weekdays they are open till 11pm and 3am on friday and saturday. They are only open for brunch on sundays.
They also showcase local art and try to be environmentally conscious. The kitchen uses as many local and organic ingredients as possible. They buy fair traded coffee and compost. They also support local non-profit organizations with a monthly donation of all change tips. At lunch time, they deliver by bicycle in the downtown area.

Rosetta's has great food and a fun, casual, hippie vibe. Fitting for a veg-friendly cafe in Asheville. Most items can easily be made vegan, and the menu includes instructions for doing so. The staff was friendly, and I enjoyed sitting on their porch. The Ruben was great, although I thought the kraut was more flavorful the last time I was in town. The queso dip was not as good as some similar dips I've had elsewhere. There were some local beers and a kombucha on tap. I'll be back next time I'm in town!
This is a really nice place with a casual vibe. We went for brunch and loved the pancakes and biscuits with gravy. The lunch options were also good, although the vegan queso on the nachos was surprisingly bland.
The only criticism I had is that their vegan cheesecake was the old school kind made entirely of tofu, rather than using vegan cream cheese. This makes for an all-too-wholesome taste. It wasn't bad, but it doesn't compare to the amazing vegan cheesecakes made by Horizons or Vegan Treats.
