Eclectic (Varied)
Healthy, Vegetarian
George Vutettakis and his wife still run their tiny place with the same care they had when they started more than 20 years ago, still primarily using organic and handpicked ingredients. While many people frown at the thought of vegetarian fare, Inn Season's quality can capture the palate of the biggest carnivore with something as simple as a mesclun salad. Unlike much vegetarian fare, which acts as mere fuel, Inn Season focuses on fantastic taste. Whole grain burgers and Mexican dishes, for instance, are two of the daily staples. The lasagna is a whole meal that somehow surprises every time when served with one of Vutettakis' bean and/or vegetable combos. For dessert, the orange-almond cake never fails. Clean living and cleanliness are inseparable partners, and Inn Season is extremely clean. The spotless walls carry artwork from whatever show they are using at the time.

The Inn Season is a must every time I go to Royal Oak. I've tried just about every vegan dish on the menu. Some of the daily specials are usually vegan, too, which adds a little variety to the experience. No matter how full we are when we dine there we always have to get dessert anyway! If you know someone who insists vegetarian and vegan fare is plain, flavorless or "too weird", take them here and you will change their mind. This is upscale food in a casual setting. Prices average 7-10 dollars per plate and desserts are about $5 each.
