The folks behind Giant Robot magazine launch a new venture, a restaurant!
First there was the magazine Giant Robot and the store to sell the magazine. Then the editors, Eric Nakamura and Martin Wong, expanded their Asian-American dynasty with GR2, a gallery space located across the street from the store. Now, they go a step further with gr/eats (next to GR2), which supplies sustenance for friends, fans, showcasing artists and anyone else who happens upon their mini-empire.
Veg*n options at the cafe include a tofu burger, vegetable paella, mixed fries (potatoes, yams, and bananas), penne marinara with tofu meatballs, or tofu meatballs with a sweet and savory sauce, vegetable ribbons, and seasoned rice.
