Discover maximum vegetables at China Max!
I stumbled upon this place one day, on my way to get an oil filter for my car, and it's one of the more fortuitous moves I've ever made!
You see, the Phoenix metro area has literally a hundred (or so) Chinese restaurants and buffets. It seems as if there's one on every corner. But few are truly veg-minded. (By that, I mean, there are numerous, specific vegetarian menu items listed here; without you having to order off the menu, and/or having to ask them to hold the animal protein just to get a vegetarian dish.)
China Max is an exception; and an exceptional one at that. There are 22 vegetable entrees to choose from; with such ingredients as mushrooms, eggplant, garlic, snow peas, green beans, asparagus, and bean curd. (Ranging in price from $6-$8.)
Also on the menu are Veg Pan Fried Noodles, Veg Chow Fun, Veg Lo Mein, and Veg Chow Mein. (Each $6.)
There's not much in the way of appetizers here, other than a $1 bowl of veg soup, but with that many entrees to pick from, who's complaining!?
This is a place where they do up vegetables to the Max!
Located at the southwest corner of McClintock Rd and Guadalupe Rd, between Trader Joes and Changing Hands Bookstore; in the same strip mall as Efes Turkish Cuisine.

I love this place!! The food is wonderful and the service is great too.
