We went to Little Szechuan this past weekend and enjoyed it overall. We tried the Homestyle Tofu and the Spicy Tofu. The spicy tofu was the better of the 2, but both were quite good. Crisp, firm tofu, with great flavor. The portion sizes were large (2 people could easily share 1 entree, we learned), and affordable ($10.95 each). The wine list is minimal, but has good options at reasonable prices. They have brown rice ($2 up charge), and knew what vegan meant - ie, told me what dishes do not contain fish paste, chicken stock, etc, so that was a welcome change.
Little Szechuan is in a great location and the atmosphere at the restaurant is nice - big, comfy booths & dim lighting, with a more upscale feel than a lot of Chinese restaurants I've been to.
We will likely go back here to try other things, and to get the spicy tofu again, but we didn't like it as well as some of our other go-to restaurants, so it probably won't make the regular rotation. Still, if you're going to see a movie at the West End and want a good, cheap meal, this would be a good option.
