Vegan-friendly upscale organic traditional Italian cuisine
The bread and antipasti here set the restaurant apart from all other local Italian places. Tigella is a small flat bread baked between heated tiles; traditional in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. This unique bread is served with a choice of 20 different spreads, most of which are vegan. There is at least one vegan choice in each section of the menu -- antipasti, salads, pastas, entrees, and charcuterie -- and each of these is an Italian dish one is unlikely to encounter elsewhere. Vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free dishes are all marked as such on the menu.
Reservations are essential, and it can get crowded. The restaurant assumes that guests will occupy their table for at least 2.5 hours, and nobody will rush them to leave.
