The city’s first Malaysian restaurant is one of its best-kept dining secrets because it’s in a strip mall on Barry Road in Kansas City North. But on weekend nights, there’s often a wait for one of the tables in the small, L-shaped dining room. The cuisine is a true fusion of the three Malaysian cultures: Muslim, Hindu Indian and Chinese. Most dishes can be made vegetarian with tofu - just ask your server. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.

This place is really wonderful, and it's one of the only veg-friendly restaurants north of the river. There aren't many vegetarian options listed on the menu, but many of them can be made vegetarian/vegan with tofu. I like the black pepper tofu best, but everything I have tried here has been amazing. They bring you a really good vegetarian soup before your meal at lunch time. Their lunch is very cheap and comes with soup and appetizers, so it's best to go then.
