Fresh, awesome pita bread. Ok food. horrible, slow service. Be ready to wait! For a table, at your table, for the bill.

One of the best restaurants in town, so delicious! Get the veggie kibbeh and vegan baklava! Their market makes shopping for specialty foods a snap. Love them!

I love Ya Hala! Many many choices for vegan/vegetarians. Busy place with polite servers. If there is a wait, I'd advise that you stick around. It's worth it! Can't wait to go back!

What a delightful experience! Lots of vegan items, but enough non-vegan selections so that a vegan like me can invite a group of omnivorous friends and everyone finds something tasty. I was especially happy to see several of my non-vegan friends eat only the vegetable dishes, and they smiled all through the meal. The service is prompt and friendly, the wine list is excellent, parking is not too difficult, and there are several ways to get there at dinner time without the I-84 hassle. If you arrive a little early, do visit the adjacent market. Lots of treats for a successful impetuous grocery shopping.

I really liked Ya Hala. They have a lot of vegan options and they are really nicely marked on the menu. They seem to be really attentive to vegans, which is great! We tried a few of their dishes -- stuffed baby eggplants, little spinach pies, artichoke hearts, and baklava -- and they were all very tasty. The portions are not huge, so you can try a few things if you want to. I liked the atmosphere in restaurant too and the store next to them; I got a huge can of stuffed grape leaves (63 of them!) for $8 and a few other yummy things. Although it is not all vegetarian, I would highly recommend this place and I would love to go back.

They have a huge menu that is very easy to read with lots of vegan options. The food is amazing and the pita bread is the best I've ever had.

This by far the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Stump town. I had a dig back in college that had the best falafel sandwich in the world. Unfortunately it closed down. Since then I was searching every single Middle Eastern Rest to "find" that sandwich. Ya Hala not only equaled that sandwich, but surpassed it. Try it with their hot sauce. It's delicious. All of their other dishes are just as tasty.

Yum Yum Yum…
I love this place, I’m a big fan of Nicholas and thought I would never find a better Lebanese restaurant but I did in Ya Hala. The hummus, falafel, bread are all great. I don’t live in Portland anymore but I find myself missing Ya Hala more than any other restaurant. You won’t regret the trip!

I find myself always comparing other restaurants to Ya Hala, & have only found a few to come close.
