Garden of Eden (a small NYC-based chain of health food stores) is a small but well-stocked grocery focusing on healthy and organic food. In addition to a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, they offer may canned/boxed vegan items, frozen novelty items (vegan ice cream, pizzas, etc), faux meats, vegan cheese, and prepared noodles and dumplings. Their bakery also includes many vegan breads, rolls, and snacks.

I stopped in here to grab a snack and some simple groceries and was really impressed with their selection. First off, they had green patty pan squash (which may be common in some places, but I've never seen it) and fresh lemongrass, which can be hard to come by. They also had a good selection of vegan ice creams and sorbets, which was my real motivation for coming, and the Ciao Bella sorbet was on sale for $3.99 - can't go wrong! I felt that some of the packaged items (vegan noodles and dumplings) were a little overpriced but I'm glad they had them and I'd probably buy them if I were in a pinch.
