All-veg North and South Indian
Formerly located in Minneapolis. The Vegetarian offers both North and South Indian cuisine, with many vegan options. All of the vegan items are clearly marked on the menu, and the breads, though not marked vegan, can be made vegan on request.

Impressive vegan offerings with nearly everything on the menu began or vegan on request. I ordered the garlic naan and malai kofta (veggie croquettes in a creamy sauce with peas) because it is very rare to find those dishes vegan in my experience. My husband ordered the masala dosa which came with an amazing coconut chutney. All in all, the food was great, service was friendly, and we left full. Definitely recommend checking it out. Do note it is not very spicy hot food, and the hit sauce is a chili oil which can make spicier dishes a little greasy.
Decided to give this restaurant a try since there are not too many options in the area for Indian food. Overall I thought the food was OK. A little greasier than I usually like. They label all their paneer options on the menu as "vegan upon request". However they were not able to accommodate this request on this particular evening because they didn't have tofu. I guess it doesn't sell well in the area so they often don't have it.
Our waitress was not very good. When asked how they make the paneer dishes vegan, she said that the cheese is mixed in and you can't taste it so that makes it vegan.
I would say that with a lack to too many other options in the area, this is an OK choice.
