Cafe overlooking Jemaa el Fna

Supposedly the only couscous in the Medina not made with beef stock. Also has a vegetable tajine.

It's right in Jemaa el Fna, with a great view over the square from the balcony (though you'll pay a little more for the food if you eat up there).

This place has an amazing view over the square, and it's very cheap for where it is (40 dir for vegetable couscous). The service is pretty bad, but quick, and the place itself it quite pretty. We didn't try the tajine, but the veg couscous was OK. Slightly over-cooked veg (but that seems to be the norm for veg couscous in Morocco) and quite mild in flavour. They also bring out a basket of Moroccan bread when you sit down. No alcohol obviously, but a choice of soft drinks and mineral water.
