Great food. I'm very picky about where I eat and I was surprised to see that they didn't ruin the food by putting too much seasoning. Great service too!

This is a cute, small restaurant with friendly service. I don't understand why they insist on serving one fish dish (the menu is mostly vegan, with a few lacto-ovo dishes otherwise, and almost all vegan desserts), but oh well, it's New York.

I had the vegan pierogies special ($14) filled with mushrooms and spinach. The menu also had a regular vegan pierogies made with tofu, which might have been a better pick. I thought this dish was tasty enough, and I liked the spelt flour they made the dough from. That said, the portion size was really small considering the high price tag. Also, I wasn't impressed with the cashew cream sauce, which could have been a bit saltier (it was also neon white in color, which was a turn-off for me).

For dessert I had a slice of peanut butter pie ($6) which was tasty, and extremely large, but not mind-blowing. It was respectable, I guess.

I'd like to come back here to try their vegan brunch offerings, or some of their other desserts (there were at least a dozen different offerings). The service was friendly and I think this would be a good place to bring a date; at the same time it's not pretentious at all.

It is not actually vegetarian (there is one fish special per day), and while a lot of the menu standbys are good, they are somewhat boring. The brunch, however, is terrific, as is the selection of artfully executed desserts.
