AZVegan.com is an excellent (make that the best) Internet resource for vegetarians in Phoenix, Arizona.
The primary function of this site is to keep local people informed about upcoming speaking events of concern to vegans and vegetarians; as well as posting activist and animal rights' events (including listings of local animal rights' and veg-friendly groups).
There's also a calendar of social activities for veg-friendly people, and listings for volunteer opportunities to help the cause of animals and animal rights' issues, food issues, and fundraising activities. (Including the website's tireless operator Kari Nienstedt's amazing and spectacular vegan fundraising party and subsequent Walk for Farm Sanctuary that attracts hundreds of participants and raises tens of thousands of dollars for farm animals.)
This amazing vegetarian resource also posts updates on current vegetarian trends, has a bulletin board to post messages, and finally (if that isn't enough), AZVegan.com has a list of categorized (by city or cuisine) restaurants.
Whew!
In short, AZVegan.com has just about everything a veg-friendly person would need to be informed about what's happening in Phoenix, AZ regarding vegetarianism and animal-welfare issues.
