veg-friendly juice bar and restaurant
Green Light Cuisine is a new Bronx juice bar and restaurant that features several vegan options, including veggie burgers, grilled vegetable paninis, salads, and smoothies (specify non-dairy milk). In addition to "American" food, they also serve Hispanic food but it usually contains meat.
The restaurant is fairly small and does mostly carry out but they do have a few tables for dining in.

I can't say that Green Light Cuisine is my favorite restaurant but they are one of the VERY few places in the area that I can get vegan food. Unfortunately, most of their veg items seem to be variations on the same thing (grilled vegetable platter, grilled vegetable panini, grilled vegetable wrap, etc). I decided on a veggie burger and fries and thought they were both good, particularly the fries. I also had an antioxidant smoothie, which was really good.
I'm happy to see that they offer Latino food so they have a good mix of menu options, but I'm disappointed that the Latino food is so meat heavy. I would have really loved some vegan rice and beans with salad and avocado. :)
I would stop by again in the future because they do offer more veg stuff than other places, but I do hope they expand their veg options to keep things interesting.
