A clean sit-down north Indian restaurant.
A slightly different atmosphere from other Indian places in the 16th & Mission area, Maharaja is a very clean, well-lit, sit-down type of restaurant with good North Indian dishes.

Tomato soup in the Tikka Masala, hair on a plate, chai was nice. Around the corner, on 16th, is Alhamra, which is much more like the food I'd get in India or London, for half the price.
