Busy casual lunchtime sandwich wrap and soup joint

That's a Wrap's mantra is "Healthy Food for a Hungry Planet." And, no doubt, this place packs 'em in at lunch time. Good luck at finding parking...as this busy casual lunch spot is a hot ticket for the good-looking and healthy-eating-minded patrons.

The featured items, of course, are the wraps; mostly non-Veg versions, but this place will substitute any non-Veg product on the menu with tofu, which opens up the entire menu to vegetarians. Add ample portions of veggies, rice, black beans, mushrooms, you name it, there's a wide variety of selections.

Veg-minded people will especially like the The Veggie Jackson, embodying zucchini, asparagus tips, onions, carrots, broccoli, eggplant, rice, and salsa; all wrapped up in a spinach tortilla. (Wraps come with your choice of chips, soup, or pasta salad.)

Also featured on the menu are rice bowls (similar ingredients are in the wraps), smoothies, salads, and Vegan soup.

There's outdoor dining in back to enjoy those sunny Phoenix afternoons (seasonally anyway), and great atmosphere at That's a Wrap!

A Good vegetarian-friendly restaurant

Wesociety - Dec 17 07

This is one of my favorite vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Phoenix! Highly recommended!

As the above review noted, you can substitute tofu for meat into any wrap free of charge. Sides include your choice of a pasta salad, chips & salsa or a fruit cup.

Some of my favorite menu items are: The Prince of Thai's (sub tofu), Alota Fajita (sub tofu), The Veggie Jackson and Senorita No Meata.

That's A Wrap is actually owned by the same owners of "Green", a vegan restaurant located in Tempe.

My only complaint is that I wish they were open longer timeframes and on Sundays.
