Very good restaurant for a mixed group (omnis and veggies). They have a salad bar, but, I didn't try it. I had the bbq tempeh sandwich (minus slaw makes it vegan) and pommes frites--shoestring fries. The sandwich and fries were both very good. My omnivorous dining companions really liked their food also. Ingredients were fresh, not overcooked. My friend had the smoked trout dip appetizer, and I enjoyed a few of the nice lightly-steamed veggies that accompanied it. He loved the dip, and we watched him happily eat every last bit of it. They did not have beer or wine available, which is unusual for Asheville, but, might appeal to parents looking for a family-friendly atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. I will return to check out the salad bar!
Second visit: found out that the tempeh bbq sandwich has honey in it! Argh! Ordered the tempeh saute this time, and it was very salty. I don't use a lot of salt in my food, so, it was very noticeable. Roasted carrots on the side were excellent. I had to write and revise my previous review. I'm really disappointed!
