The food was really tasty here. It was very busy when we went, around 6.30pm on a weekday, so go early if you don't want to wait for a table!
Not a place for a romantic meal after about 7 o clock as it gets very hectic and the tables are very close together.
Food is great and there is a real buzz about the place - vegan cheesecake is orgasmic.
They have an intimate private dining room upstairs for up to about 10 - 20 people and the service, food and presentation is a level still higher.
Exquisite food - delightful service
Had my first meal at Mildred's last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Firstly, we were not rushed and secondly, the food was very tasty. I had the soup of the day as a starter and it was mushroom and blue cheese - a very generous serving and extremely delicious! This was followed by the burger of the day - this time, beetroot, carrot and sesame seeds - again a good generous serving and a very tasty burger. The dessert was the weakest part of the meal with the Strawberry crumble being a little too dry and overly cinnamon for my liking. We enjoyed an organic Merlot - nice to have this choice. Overall, friendly service, relaxed and light atmosphere and tasty food. Well worth a visit and I will be going back.
This is my favorite restaurant in London, I keep going back there again and again. It's always busy (but perhaps that's a good thing?) and the prices are A-OK.
Not everything is vegan but most things can be veganised. The walnut bread is amazing before the main meal and they have specials every day.
If it's really busy you can go down to a Wagamama there on the same street a little further south or you can go and have a drink at the pub on the corner which is one of the best in London (the John Snow).
Highly recommended!

Cordon Bleu standard, British food - it that's not to much of a contradiction. I had their mushroom and ale pie, and had to guard it from my partner who would have eaten it all. He had the tarragon sausages with mustard mash, which would have been excellent any other time, but weren't a patch on the ale pie. Everything else we had was excellent too, including their home-made vegan ice cream. They're also knowledgeable about which of their wines are vegan, which sadly not all vegetarian restaurants are.
As others have said though - this place gets packed! We waited 20 minutes for a table, and it was only 5:30.
