Thai food is my favorite kind to begin with and to find out that my favorite Thai vegan restaurant has added a 2nd location (the original is in Irvine and this one is closer to my house in Huntington Beach), i was extremely excited.

I'm very happy to report that the food at the new Wheel of Life (in the same locations that Happy Veggie used to be) is JUST AS AMAZING as the food at the Irvine location. Superstar store owner and the nicest man you will ever meet Victor sometimes makes an appearance at the restaurant and his enthusiasm for vegan food is inspiring.

When it comes to the food, there is not much more I can say other than WOW. The spicy red curry with its creamy coconut milk is easily my favorite. Be sure to bring some Kleenex cause this one will drain your sinuses (in a good way). The orange chicken is a LITTLE heavy on the breading and yes, i know, it has some oil as its fried but its a once a week decadence that i allow myself and I'm literally salivating as I head down Golden-west to pick up my food.

The lemon cake for desert is the piece-de-resistance and should be on everyone's order.

Wheel of Life is one of my favorite places to eat. I have never ordered anything on the menu that I didn't like and I especially like the Orange "Chicken" and Tom Kah Kai soup. Victor, Kim and family/staff always make you feel welcome and provide outstanding service. Several of my non vegan friends choose Wheel of Life again and again when we go out for lunch and some have made it a regular stop on their way home from work.

I love this place! My fave is the kung pao chicken, yummmmm! The mongolian soy beef is great too, and the cheesecake will blow you away. I can't believe how real it tasted. The owner always remembers me and I've gotten my birthday cakes there ever since I found the place. If it weren't so far off the beaten path, I'd be there a LOT more often. Build one in Newport or Laguna Beach!!

Everything here was really good. We had the chicken masala and the Mongolian beef. Everything was vegetarian and really yummy.
