A lot of good things in a small space.
Carries a wide variety of goods in quite a small downtown space. There's a refrigerated case with prepared sandwiches/spreads/dairy products/soy versions of dairy products, fresh tofu, many vegan options. Has a freezer section also. Good, but not huge selection of canned goods, dry goods, some baked goods (awesome vegan donuts), snacks, chocolate, toiletries, bulk herbs, teas & some bulk cereals. They also carry essential oils, vitamins, incense & books. Great specials, friendly staff, willing to order in things they don't already carry. Community bulletin board as well.

I loved this store when I lived in Mount Vernon. They have a bunch of good pre-made sandwiches (try the "ultimate bagel") and a decent bulk section with the best price in town for hemp plus granola. There's a good selection of soy and rice ice creams, too. I always wish they had a bigger variety (for example, of tofus), but hey, it's not Whole Foods; it's just a friendly neighborhood store.
