Exquisite Middle Eastern food in a romantic setting
Efes was named best Middle Eastern food by The New Times in 2004. Not bad for this upstart Middle Eastern restaurant.
And there's plenty to choose from for vegetarians; including 8 appetizer selections of such treats as hummus, stewed eggplant, stuffed grapes leaves, grilled eggplant, and stuffed eggplant.
There's also two veg soup choices, two salad choices, and two veg sandwiches (a falafel and an eggplant).
Plus, 4 vegetarian entrees (which are $1 more for dinner); consisting of a mixed vegetable stew, a green bean stew, a stuffed grape leave platter, and a Bulgar wheat dish. Entrees come with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and a cabbage salad.
Go and see why The New Times considers this place Numero Uno.
Located at the southwest corner of McClintock and Guadalupe Rd; at the far northwest end of the complex.
