Indian and Pakistani Food just east of ASU

There's one thing about Indian restaurants: they offer (sometimes enormous) all-you-can-eat buffets at lunch (including all the bread and rice you can stuff down your gullet), but when it comes to dinner, out come the hefty prices, the micro portions that can barely fill a thimble, and the extra add-on expenditures (that can really add up) for, say, a lowly piece of bread or a grain or two of rice. But you won't find that practice at Curry Corner.

Here, they don't have a buffet, but what they do have is delicious and dirt cheap Indian and Pakistani food, along with a fancy decor. And Curry Corner has many the same traditional foods that you'll find at most Indian restaurants around town.

Veg Entrees include:
Vegetarian Balti (veggies and your choice of cauliflower, okra, or eggplant)
Sindhi Bryani (Veggies with saffron and spices)
Palak Paneer (chopped spinach green with Paneer cheese)
Dal-Lentil (split lentils with herbs and spices)
Karee Pakora (yogurt sauce and vegetable pakora)
Kabli Chana (chick peas and potatoes cooked in butter)
Aloo-Matar (potatoes sauteed with green peas or spinach)

I recommend their deep friend cauliflower! I didn't try anything else. Not the best atmosphere, but not bad.

Great vegan/veggie food at good prices. The atmosphere is less authentic than several other restaurants, but the food makes up for it. They have recently changed their menu, adding options such as a falafel or veggie wrap, veggie burgers, and unique pizza (the Zaatar is a great vegan pizza). Also, they make fresh squeezed juice in a variety of flavors that can be mixed and matched, such as mango, banana, pineapple, orange, and many more. In addition to the good food, hookah smoking is available outdoors with a variety of shisha flavors available - a wonderful after-meal treat!
