All of the food at The farm is locally grown and organic. A lot of the appetizers, salads and entrees can be made vegan if you ask. The herb crusted tofu with mushroom gravy and garlic mashed potatoes is just one of the vegan options to choose from. Don't forget to take a look at the drink list.

I'm here to tell you that the herb-crusted tofu with mashed potatoes and gravy is phenomenal. With food like this, you won't feel deprived by being vegan. In fact, most likely your omnivorous dinner partners will continually ask you for bites from your plate (that always happens to me when I go there)! :) Additionally, this restaurant is beautiful, chic, intimate, and has wonderful ambiance. It's a great "romantic date" restaurant.
The food here will please anyone, omnivore, vegetarian or vegan. They don't take reservations, so don't' be surprised if you have to wait for an hour on a Friday night. I think it's worth it. The food is great, the bar is well-stocked and you can always order a drink and take it out to the heated back porch while you wait for a table. You can also order off the full menu while seated at the bar, and the bartender makes a mean mojito! I have always had good experiences at The Farm and have found the staff to be very polite.
The Farm has amazing food and a wonderfully cozy and romantic atmosphere. They always have at least one vegan entree (which changes with the seasons), as well as appetizers, soups, and salads. I recommend the delicious herd crusted tofu with mushroom masala sauce and their homemade bread and roasted garlic. Not only is the food amazing here, but The Farm offers an array of wine, mixed drinks, and beer. A must for anyone traveling through or a lifer in Portland.
We have never experienced ruder waitstaff and service. Even the Manager was rude. Please don't eat here!!
Excellent food, in a warm & cozy atmosphere. Friendly & helpful staff will acommodate your requests.
While The Farm Cafe isn't entirely vegetarian, there are a ton of great vegetarian (and even Vegan) options on their menu. The Farm uses all fresh, local and organic ingredients and the result is nothing short of amazing.
We started our dinner with local roasted Hazelnuts which were extremely yummy and Ken's Artisan Bread (which is always good). The main courses were a Tofu Marsala that was so good it's hard to believe it was tofu and a tempeh stuffed pepper which was absolutely fantastic.
While The Farm isn't exclusiviely Vegetarian, it's hard to think of a better vegetarian meal I've had in Portland than at The Farm!

I too feel that the Farm Cafe is the perfect place for vegans and their non-vegan friends to dine. Everyone will leave happy.
