I've been to Vila four times in the past year and each time had a wonderful experience. It's located on the second floor in a courtyard and this sets it apart from the student dominated eateries in the area. A very small percentage of the customers are undergraduate students.
They've always been able to accomodate my vegan needs. The only bad experience I had was when I ordered a "veganized" pad thai. The waiter gladly took the dish away and I ordered the red curry. My favorite is the rice paper wrap appetizer.
The owner is almost always there to meet customer needs. As a bonus, she is a very big supporter of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

I got the Jungle Thai Vegetables, which the server assured me was vegan. Unfortunately they were out of tofu and the accompanying Pad Thai was not vegan, but they just gave me extra veggies and rice. Very tasty! I can't wait to go back and try more menu items. I thought the lunch special was reasonably priced, of course I would have prefered to have some tofu but hey it happens.
