Used to be a favorite when I went to visit SMoCA. The hummus is good and the falafel sandwich is hearty. I actually really like the pickles in the sandwiches and the salad while wimpy has tons of flavor. Its just a matter of personal taste. It isn't much to look at considering the area though and waiters can forget you if you sit outside sometimes. But overall it seems clean and I've never gotten sick from it.

The falafel is really good, and the cook and waitress knew a lot about what was in the ingredients. The cafe is kind of dirty, though, and you kind of serve yourself with drinks, asking them to provide napkins to clean up the table, etc.

I eat at Pita House at least once a week, and I LOVE it! I get the falafel pita almost every time, and it's always perfect. I'm not sure what salad the previous reviewer got, but the salad that comes with the pita sandwiches is, while simple, totally awesome. It's just shredded lettuce with this purple dressing on it - no clue what it is, but it's incredibly savory. They treat you great, and the little old man who appears to own the place is always cute and friendly. Try them out!

Although the food was edible, we won't be going back there again. We got a babaganouj sandwich and a greek salad without the feta. The sandwich was good, but the pickles on it were a little strange (maybe that's authentic, I don't know, I just thought it was strange). The salad though was disgusting. It basically consisted of a pile of lettuce, a few tomato wedges and some shriveled, dried up, bitter black olives. Not our idea of a great meal.
