Extensive selection of Middle Eastern Food

Just east of Pita Jungle and Tasty Kabob and behind the Oasis cafe on Apache Blvd., is the ultra-spectacular Cafe Instanbul and Market. (This is in a brand-new building at a new location from the cafe previously on Rural Rd.)

For appetizers, there's such treats as hummus, baba ganoush, fava beans, mjadara (lentils and rice), and grape leaves. Salad choices include tabouli salad and fattoush salad. And (if that's not enough) entrees feature eggplant musaka, falafel meals, appetizer combos, and a vegetarian combos. All savory and delicious.

Lunch buffet 11AM - 3PM.

The on-site Market is open one hour earlier than the cafe each day.

My husband surprised me with dinner here for our anniversary. The food was wonderful, the service was friendly, and we had WAY TOO MUCH to eat! I tried the falafel with french fries. Both were terrific. We tried an appetizer, filo dough stuffed with cheese, and it wasn't our favorite, but I'm sure someone who likes tangy cheese would love it. It was cooked perfectly; we're just picky.

The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Falafel and hummus are particularly good.
