Mostly local, organic & vegan with lots of raw food
Most ingredients used at the New Leaf Café are organic, and much is grown locally. Soups and breads are incorporated into the menu, which typically does not include meat, dairy, eggs, soy or peanut products. No white sugar or processed foods are used. Instead, lots of seeds and tree nuts are found in dishes, and most items are gluten-free.
In addition to a large selection of raw food, they also offer hot soups, chili, smoothies, a juice bar, and even crepes on certain days.
The lunch buffet features a large mixed green salad and toppings such as sprouts, seeds and made-from-scratch dressings, the buffet also includes three homemade soups, wraps, mustard beets, oriental cabbage salad, mock salmon pate and a no-cheese "cheese" sauce created from cashew milk and vegetables. Dehydrated flax crackers in flavors like sage or Indian spice, gluten-free bread and 100 percent whole-wheat breadsticks are also a part of the buffet... as well as dessert. All for only $8 plus carryout options, juice bar and smoothies are also available.
