Northern India food with a spectacular lunchtime buffet

If you're looking for a fantastic lunchtime buffet with lots of vegetarian selections, then Flavors of India might just be the place for you.

Though this restaurant is also open for dinner, its lunchtime buffet selections offer a fine array of vegetarian Indian treats, as well as all-you-can-eat salad (all for the reasonable price of $10, including tax/tip). It's definitely worth checking out if you're hungry for Indian food and live or work near central Phoenix.

Eggplant, peas, rice, potatoes are cooked to perfection here, and the spices have been toned down.

For dinner, you'll find appetizers such as Samosa vegetable patties, vegetable Pakoras, and a vegetable soup. Vegetarian entrees include numerous dishes made from lentils, green peas, cauliflower, chickpeas, okra, and eggplant. It's all good at Flavors of India!

Centrally-located on 16th St, just south of Camelback (at Campbell) in the Biltmore area of Phoenix. Open 7 days a week.

Food was delicious. My wife and I are chosen vegans & more. We informed the waitress we preferred vegan dishes and asks for recommendations. We found out the garlic naan has eggs so the waitress suggested rooti with garlic which was delicious substitute. we had the spinach dish without cream among the other dishes which was vegetarian, whoever it had cream and we asked for it without. We would eat there again and recommends you try it for indian food. the vegan dishes are limited to a handful which can be modified from the vegetarian menu. Enjoy. We did!!!

I stopped in at about 9pm and the place was pretty empty. M. Berry greeted me at the door and was so helpful picking out vegan options for me. I decided on the Veg. Samosas, a potato curry, rice, and garlic naan. I made sure to ask that all of this was vegan. While I waited (I got takeout), the staff was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would love to go back for a sit-down dinner. The food was tasty. A little spicy for me, but you can choose your level of spiciness.
