Deli style environs serving completely vegan, mostly organic, and raw foods.
Sizable selection of juices, salads, wraps, pates, and soups. They offer a few desserts, and have 4 kinds of raw ice cream.
The dining area is not particularly intimate, but is quite large and can accommodate a large group. They also have a large room in the back, where they sometimes have guest speakers and lectures on raw, health, and vegan topics.

definitely a nice, friendly place. cafeteria style. nice selections of raw, vegan foods. yum!
Bonobo's (very cute name, but no mention of the animal here at all) could do alot more to carry through what it is all about. Located off of a large thoroughfare street (23rd at Madison Square Park), the only thing that clues you into the type of food it serves is the display case of the food it offers that day.
It's a huge, underused space; set up like a lunch counter when you come in, you order and bring your food back to the tables. Very unintimate.
The food is 100% raw and vegan. The servers behind the counter know alot about the preparation of the food and seem devoted to this kind of food. Everything I have had here is tasty and there are quite a few choices. I highly recommend the soups and the norimaki!

It's a nice place to grab a quick lunch because their salad bar already has everything prepared so they can easily whip you up a salad, sandwich, or wrap in a few minutes. They have a good selection of pates and salad fixins but could use more desserts.
I like their 1lb. sample platter because it allows you to try some of everything. I particularly like the macadamia nut meat and this cauliflower/carrot/green bean mixture, but I'm not a fan of the squash salad or pumpkin/poppy pate.
I tried the blueberry/banana ice cream, and wasn't impressed, particularly because it was $5 for what tasted like a banana pureed with frozen blueberries.
